Hi, I’m Liv and I am a Psychology PhD student in the Neuroscience area at Yale University! I am interested in the interactions between attention and memory that support adaptive behavior in our demanding, unpredictable world. Specifically, I am curious how attention during encoding informs consolidation during sleep, and how memory in turn guides future attention. In my research, I aim to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying the brain’s remarkable information processing capacity, and understand why its efficiency sometimes reduces fidelity. Outside of the lab, you can find me at the gym, walking my dog, or waiting for winter so I can go snowboarding!
